How to choose and join a tour

• Please read through the tour descriptions carefully and choose a tour that suits you.
• Each tour has different conditions, requirements and costs.
• Tours are subject to weather conditions.
• Please feel free to ask our staff if you have any questions before making your decision.
• Talking to other guests who are interested in the same trip is a good way to form a group, meet the minimum number of participants, and get the best price.

Booking & information

Once you decide to join, please inform our staff and provide the following information:

• Your name and room number – please write them on the tour list on the table in the kitchen. This helps other guests see who is interested in joining the same trip.
• Your dietary requirements* – meat / vegetarian / vegan / gluten-free / food allergies
• Any medical conditions, allergies or health concerns*
• Identification document for travel insurance* – please provide your passport or Thai national ID.

*Please provide this information if you are joining a tour lasting 5 hours or more.

• By 8:00 p.m. the night before departure, we need to know whether there are enough people to run the trip and to arrange insurance.
• Please make sure you receive final confirmation of all the details.

For guests not staying at Cave Lodge

If you are not staying at Cave Lodge, you are still welcome to join our trips, subject to the conditions and fees of each trip. The same booking procedure and information requirements apply as for guests staying at Cave Lodge. In addition, please provide:

• Your name and contact telephone number.
• A minimum deposit of 30–50% of the total trip cost – required to confirm your booking.
• If you need to cancel your booking, please inform us as early as possible, according to the cancellation conditions for the particular trip.
• Deposits and tour fees are non-refundable, regardless of the reason for cancellation.
• The meeting point is Cave Lodge, unless otherwise specified.
• Please arrive at least 15 minutes before departure time.
• If you expect to arrive late, please contact us in advance – trips may depart on time and may not be able to wait for late arrivals.

What else to bring

• Shoes with good grip – runners or trainers are fine. Closed-toe shoes offer better protection.
• Sunscreen and insect repellent – recommended for sunny days and during the rainy season.
• Drinking water – make sure you bring enough for yourself (though we also supply water on most trips).
• Warm clothing – during the cooler winter months, bring a spare warm shirt or jacket.
• Cameras – ask your guide about water protection. We have dry bags and waterproof boxes available to borrow.

What to expect & trip conditions

• Fitness level – you need to be reasonably fit for these adventure trips. None of them are completely easy, and some guests find them harder than expected! However, there is no technical climbing involved.
• We keep it safe!
• Group size & pricing – all trips require a minimum number of participants to get the lowest rate. If there are fewer people, we can still run the trip if the group covers the difference.
