Caving Trip 1: Three Caves and Walking Tour
← All caving tours
Our most famous and popular adventure caving trip!
The trip involves a short drive up the mountain, then walking back through great karst (limestone landscape) via 3 caves. The walking is up and down for about 7–9 km (600–900 m elevation). Paths can be challenging and slippery in the wet season. The caves are relatively short (in and out the same entrance for each cave) but very different from each other.
- Fossil Cave (700 m round trip) – stunning cave formations and the region’s best seashell fossils, over 200 million years old.
- Waterfall Cave (400 m round trip) – follows a small stream to a 30 m underground waterfall, the highest in the district. Features low crawling sections – expect to get wet!
- Xmas Cave (600 m round trip) – a massive cavern filled with beautiful rock formations.
